Welcome to the Timeout Foundation

The Timeout Foundation was born out of the desire to promote looked after children and their carers in a positive light and to promote all the excellent care that is delivered in this arena.

The memorandum of articles states that the Timeout Foundation "exists to promote the interests of all looked after children in England."

The Foundation is a constituted group charity no 1128463 and is a 'not for profit' organisation.

Timeout Foundation Goes To Goa

Timeout Foundation supports young people to visit Children Walking Tall Goa India

The Timeout Foundation is currently seeking funding to support a group of Looked After Young People to visit Goa, India. The project will provide the opportunity for Young People and their carer to spend two weeks in Goa, working alongside The Mango House, Children Walking Tall. Ref www.childrenwalkingtall.com and the Educators Trust www.theeducatorstrust.com. Charities working to provide learning, play opportunities and day to day support to Street children.

Timeout Foundation has made links to Children Walking Tall and The Educators Trust to provide Looked After children with many opportunities and challenges. The recognition of their own abilities to ;support others in what can be significantly deprived settings, can raise their own self-esteem and social status. More....

The Timeout Foundation is pleased to announce that the residential trip to India is now going ahead in October 2010.

There will be a preliminary residential in Lancashire on 9th-11th July which will involve team building and problem solving. This is a non-negotiable part of the process.

Places are limited and consideration should be made to the expectations of the whole process not just the India trip.

Gary's Indipendence Day Run

The 4th of July is 'Independence Day' and a special day for Gary Starr who works as a tutor with Looked After Children. Gary has agreed to run for the Foundation in the 10k Take to The Streets Race in Manchester. Gary needs all our help in raising sponsorship for the foundation and sponsorship forms are available here.

Gary's personal aim is to raise at least £2000 and we know he can achieve this with your help.

Kate Hitchen has also kindly joined the Timeout Foundation 'Team' and will be joining Gary on the 4th of July. She is also seeking sponsorship.
